Tennis Ireland Capitation
Youghal Lawn Tennis Club is a member of Tennis Ireland
Tennis Ireland charge a PCF (Player Capitation Fee) for EVERY membership type and a CAF (Court Affiliation Fee) for every court we have on premises.
The player capitation rates are what YLTC must pay per membership so that YLTC can host competitions and YLTC members can play in other tennis Ireland affiliated competitions such as Club Opens, Munster Leagues etc. Being a member also allows us to apply for certain grants like the Age and Opportunity Grant, Disability Grant and Women in Tennis.
Tennis Ireland have increased the capitation fees for all player membership types and court affiliation fees from 1st Jan 2026.
As YLTC membership renewals fall on 1st May 2026 these player capitation fees are impacting the club for membership year 2026-2027 onwards.

Player Capitation Fees
All our player capitation fees have increased as follows:

The increase in family membership rates is the most severe @ €22.
YLTC do not plan to increase our base rates this year but we do plan to increase our membership rates inline with the Tennis Ireland capitation increases. One exception to this is that for our Family and Family Over 65 rates we plan to manage the increase over two years, i.e. apply half the increase this year (€11) and another €11 increase in the 2027-2028 membership. The Country Family rate will be increased by the full €22.
Note YLTC has been objecting to the country membership rates for a long time as Tennis Ireland is getting paid twice for the same TI member but they have continued to insist it must be paid.
The increase in membership rates will be proposed at our AGM on Monday 20th April 2026 which takes place in our club house @ 7.30 p.m. All are welcome to attend and provide input to the discussion.
